Last month saw your local Councillors join up with members of the Berwood Farm allotments to help clear over grown vacant plots so they were ready for new tenants. Strimming and weed killing make it a much more attractive proposition for new arrivals on a plot, who often struggle to get set up if they have a wilderness to deal with. The newly-formed Allotments Association on the Pitts Farm estate is determined to improve the site. They are planning to form closer links with the wider community.
